Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the standards and rules for using the Faculti Platform. All users, including staff, students, visitors, and contractors, are expected to adhere to these guidelines, which are regularly reviewed and updated.


1.1 Purpose

This policy defines acceptable use of the Faculti Platform to ensure proper, lawful use and protection of resources.


1.2 Policy Compliance

This policy incorporates the JANET Acceptable Use Policy and JANET Security Policy, as well as Eduserv General Terms of Service.


1.3 Scope

This policy applies to all users of Faculti resources, promoting their appropriate and legal use to support learning, teaching, and research.


Unacceptable Use

Users must not use the Faculti Platform for:


Downloading or sharing offensive, obscene, or unlawful content.

Sending unsolicited emails.

Facilitating harassment, promoting discrimination, or engaging in fraud.

Engaging in activities that disrupt or misuse Faculti resources.

Introducing malware, spyware, or attempting unauthorized access to data or systems.

Users should also adhere to the acceptable use policies of any external networks accessed through Faculti. Violations may lead to termination of access and possible legal actions.


Consequences of Breach

Faculti may take the following actions:


Restrict or terminate user access.

Remove inappropriate content.

Report to law enforcement and seek legal action where necessary.

Apply disciplinary measures in accordance with its Code of Conduct and Terms.

Definitions

Faculti Platform: All content, access, and networking facilities provided by Faculti, including all connected devices and systems.
